Purple and Gold Tape Manicure

Hi dear readers !

Wow, it seems I posted a lot of purple manis lately ... I hope you like that color and are not bored yet ! If you are, be reassured, the next manis for this week won't be purple ! :D

So I played again with tape and gradients ! I just can't stop, I love those techniques :)
Remember last october, I did a tape mani in pink tones with a silver base. I loved it so much that I included it in my new header !
That mani made me want to try something similar in gold and purple, two colors that work so good together !

This time I went for a gradient and randomly placed striping tape.
I was really disappointed and a bit afraid when I started my gradient, the darkest purple wasn't opaque after two coats of sponging and the gold was showing ... But after I applied the top coat, it looked smooth and really good ! Even with the gold spots :)
I must admit I'm a bit proud of these nails :)

I started with one thick coat of China Glaze Hi Tek and immediatly topped it with Seche Vite.
I cut striping tape pieces and stuck them on my nails, then did my sponge gradient as usual with Catrice Lavenderlicious and Ulta Celebutante. I waited a couple of minutes and sponged again to make the colors more intense, then removed the tape and added top coat.

It's really fun to do, and if you use Seche Vite (or any quick drying top coat, but SV is my fave), it doesn't take too long :)

I hope you like it !

Have a nice day :)

Hello !
