Purple Waves

Hi dear readers !

I played with my craft scissors again, since my first manicure made with them was a lot of fun :)
This time I used the zig-zag pattern. I also used paper labels like I did before, I haven't tried with tape yet but I think cutting labels is really much easier ^^

The design didn't turn as I wanted. The lines weren't crisp and the angles not really right, so finally it's more a wavy design. But if you compare with my previous wavy manicure, you'll see it's definitely not the same pattern :)

I used Catherine Harley 673 as the base (what a beautiful purple holo!), taped my nails diagonally and painted with China Glaze Urban Night.
At first I planned to use three colors but I didn't find a purple that match the others (how is it possible with all the purples I own?) so I went for something more sober, using two colors :)

Do you like it ?

Have a nice day :)

Hello !

Interlocking Dots and Some Updates

Hi dear readers !

Before I let you see today's nails, I have some things to tell you !

First, I'll be moving next monday ! Woohoo, one week left before we can arrange our new place... I can't wait to prepare my new polish room, too haha :D
Obviously, moving a house means broken nails, bad polish conditions and dry hands. I started to pack some stuff in the old house and my nails are in a terrible state. Some got broken, most of them peel a lot so I went for short nails for a while. I still do manucures and you'll continue to see them here, but they will be more simple. You understand that I don't want to spend hours on a manicure that will be ruined the next day ;)

I'll try to scheduled posts for next week but I don't know if I'll have time for that, and I don't know when my internet connection will be back, so don't worry if you see some inactivity here. It shouldn't last too long :)

The other point is something I guess you'll enjoy ... This thursday, my blog will celebrate his 3rd year of existence ! I planned to do a giveaway, but with the move it won't be possible for me.
I already have the prizes, so be sure that in the end of december or early january, I'll launch that giveaway :D
I hope you'll enjoy what I collected for you ;)

On to the nails !
I wanted to try interlocking dots, a technique that is really easier than it seems :)
I followed this tutorial on Nail Polish Wars

I used Kiko 316 for the base color and Catherine Arley 673 for the holo.
The pics don't really show the contrast between those two colors, it was hard to capture and way better in real life :)

Have you ever tried this technique or plan to try it ?

Have a nice day :)

Hello !

Catherine Arley Black Holo

Hi dear readers !

The weather is getting colder here, and of course, I have a cought, the first of the season, yay ! xD
And I have no voice since yesterday ... I tried medicines, groggs, honey and thyme and still voiceless. And of course, I've never had so much phone calls at work than today :p
I hope you're fine with that weather :)

What about some holo goodness to forget all that cold and illness ?
I discovered Catherine Arley holographic polish not so long ago and I ordered a couple of them. The first I tried is 805 (aaaw, again some nameless polish ... me don't like that!), a pretty black scattered holo !
In fact it's more dark grey than a true black, but I'm still very happy with it :p Let's see how it looks ...

This is what it looks outdoor, with no sun:

I wanted to add an accent nail, so I chose another Catherine Arley polish, 677. It's a dark pink holo, the holo effect is less impressive than on 805 but it's still really pretty !

That's all for today :) Do you like it ?

I forgot to mention the quality ... The dry a bit slower than well known holos (like  China Glaze, Gosh, Nfu Oh ...) but the holo reflects don't disappear under top coat, so you can use your usual drying accelerator over it.

I kept this manicure 3 days and didn't have major chips, only some wear at the tips :)
You'll find Catherine Arley polish here: http://beautycosmetic.biz/ (as well as some Essence products for non-European addicts !)

They cost only 2$ and the shipping depends on the weight of your order. You can use their contact forme before ordering to get infos about shipping to your country.

Have a nice day :)
