Purple & Taupe Stamping

Hi dear readers !

These last days, I've been doing more simple nail arts because I lacked of time and inspiration, but I love some of them a lot !
Sometimes simple things can be stunning :)

Today's manicure is simple but I really loved how it looked. I especially liked the pastel purple and taupe combo !

I used two coats of China Glaze Street Chic for the base, Konad Pastel Purple for the stamping. The messy but lovely pattern is from Bundle Monster plate BM312.

I know these colors are more autumnal, but you know I don't really care about the seasons ;)
I really love that pattern from Bundle Monster !

What about you, do you like this manicure ?

Have a nice day :)

In Love with Below Deck

Hi dear readers !

Today's mani was inspired by a post from Oooh, Shinies! When I saw her gorgeous color combo using China Glaze Below Deck and Joy, I was so in love ! I didn't have Joy at that moment so I quickly bought it :)

Here's what I did with the same color combo:

 Isn't it cute ?
Joy is such a great polish for stamping ! I really recommend it :)
The plate I used is Bundle Monster 317.

Hope you like it :)

Have a nice day ;)

Hello !

Triangle Tips

Hi dear readers !

I have another tape mani for you today. I wanted to try making some triangles on my tips, for this I used two polishes from Catrice's newest line, Steel my Heart and Steel my Soul. Both of them dry with what they call a "brushed metal effect", which is a semi matte look.
They are really lovely, but I must admit I prefer them with a top coat, the sparkles really show better :)

Here's the final look ... Please don't mind the little mess on the pointer's triangle, I really suck at aligning tape on my nails haha !

The last pic show you the original matte look. All the others have one coat of Seche Vite :)

Steel my Heart is the darkest one, a dark brown with purple and green shimmer. Steel my Soul is my fave, a light taupe with gold shimmer. It seems that I love every polish with gold shimmer in it ;)

Do yo like this look ?

Have a nice day :)

Hello :)

China Glaze Foie Gras & Layering

Hi dear readers !

Well, this will be my last "live post" for a while, probably one week or two (hopefully less), as I'm getting an eye surgery on friday. I've been wearing glasses since I'm 8, so that's 24 years with those awful things I've always hated on my nose, and I decided that it was time to give laser surgery a chance !:D
I will get a PRK, that's why I know I won't be able to go on the computer for a few days. That kind of laser heals slowly than the Lasik technique, but my cornea is too thin for Lasik.

I wanted to plan posts for my absence but I've been really busy lately and i didn't have time for that yet. I really hope that tomorrow I'll be able to prepare some pics and posts for you :)
From tomorrow, every post you see will be a scheduled one and I won't be able to reply to your comments next week, but be sure I'll read and enjoy them all as soon as my eyes recover :)

On to today's polish, China Glaze sent me two polish from their Hunger Games collection to review. I had Foie Gras and Riveting. Those are colors i wouldn't have bought as they are not what I usually wear, but they are very pretty in person and I'm glad I had a chance to try them !

Foie Gras is a pretty dark taupe with a hint of purple. It's like a kind of mix between Below Deck and Street Chic, it looks a bit like them without being a dupe. I was disappointed with the application, it was thicker than I expected, but finally there was no problem, no bubbles or strokes and the drying time was okay.

As it has been swatched many times by people who make better swatches than mines, I'll show you it with an extra bling :)

I made the accent nail with OPI Dim Sum Plum and layered one coat of Nubar/The Painted Nail Moon Drops, then added one coat of Seche Vite as usual.

I love how it turned, what's your advice ?

I made a quick comparison of Foie Gras, Below Deck and Street Chic a while ago with my phone camera. It's not a good picture and the colors are not realistic but you will see how the tints are different:
Foie Gras, Street Chic, Below Deck
What do you think ? Which of the Capitol Colors will find their way to your home ?

Have a nice day :)

Catrice Grey's Kelly & China Glaze CG in the City

Hi dear readers :)

Today I'll show you my latest sponged nails. I recently bought Catrice Grey's Kelly, a pretty taupe creme with a purple undertone. I don't have a lot of taupe polish, I don't really feel comfortable with nudes, beiges, taupes and all those kind of shades ... I prefer when color pops, or at least when there are some glitters ... So I added China Glaze CG in the City on the tips with the sponge technique, and I loved it like that :)

I loved how CG in the City married with the taupe base. It was still classy, but it also had that little popping something ...

Do you like it ?

Have a nice day :)

Pink Wednesday: China Glaze Below Deck & Glam

Hi sweeties !

I hope you're all fine :) I you follow my Facebook page, you might now I'm a bit upset ... I discovered some websites that are using my pictures without any credit, some were even cropped to hide my watermark ! The worst thing is when profesionnals web shops use those pictures to sell their products ... That's so absurd because I've never used their products or even bought from them. The lack of respect of our work is such a shame !

Well, that's enough for the rant ... But I hope they'll read my mails and stop acting like that.
On to the polish, you can blame me but it will not be totally pink today. Aaw !

I used China Glaze Below Deck as the base. I love this shade a lot, when China Glaze sent me their Anchors Away collection to review they didn't included it so I ran to a local reseller to get it :p
Below Deck is a bit hard to describe for me ... I'd say it's a dusty purple/taupe shade with a creme finish. It's very classy, easy to wear, the application was perfect and flawless ... Do I need to say I adore it ?
Sorry for the "spots" on my nails in this picture, I had a nail peeling problem at that time (too much acetone ... yurk ! Now it's okay.)
I wanted to try my brand new "bling thing" over it, and then comes the touch of pink for this wednesday !
I layered China Glaze Glam over Below Deck. Glam is filled with two sizes of metallic pink glitters in a clear base.
I wasn't sure about the final result, but I like it. Not a very amazing layering, but still cute.

What do you think ? Do you like that combo ?

Have a nice day :)
